Everyone Online Isn’t Trustworthy

You may think that’s common knowledge, but many people are still very trusting of everyone they meet online. Which is a huge mistake!
We must always remember that we are dealing with strangers. For that reason alone, never start an online relationship full of trust. Online even more so than offline, make your trust something that must be earned.
Almost everyone can hide their issues and flaws for quite awhile online. You have no way of knowing if this person is worthy of your trust or not.
As you are reviewing the profiles and “shopping” around, keep that statement in your head; everyone online isn’t trustworthy.
Just think about it...”trustworthy”, meaning “worthy of your trust”. What has this stranger done, to be worthy of your trust? Absolutely nothing!
You’re going to meet lots of people online that want you to trust them immediately. Why? Just....just “because”. They will even try and lay a guilt trip on you. They will preach you a message about “how are you ever going to get to know someone if you aren’t willing to trust them?”
They actually have their “sermon” backwards! When meeting someone online, you both work to “earn” each others trust. When that happens, you realize they are indeed trustworthy. If it doesn’t happen...you just smile to yourself and say...”I knew it! I was right from the very beginning!” What I’m telling you will begin to replay in your head...”everyone online isn’t trustworthy”!
Be glad you found that out early...before you gave them access to your life, your emotions, and more importantly...your heart!
